ATTENTION ARTISTS SEEKING SPACE FOR CITY-WIDE OPEN STUDIOS:
CWOS STUDIO, SHARE, WHERE? meeting at Artspace: THIS Thursday, Aug. 21, from 5—7 p.m.
We will be holding a meeting for all artists who are looking for temporary studio space for CWOS. Please join us if you are looking for a space, have space to share, and to meet other artists interested in forming groups to show together.

The blog is a resource for artists looking for temporary studio space for CWOS. There are a number of temporary studio contacts listed, and we will be adding more as they come to us. If you have a studio to share with other artists, or know of a business that is offering to host artists, please email us and we will post the info on the blog to share with everyone: cwos[at SYMBOL]artspacenh.org

The blog now says that the available spaces to be listed at the networking meeting on 8/21 will be "mapped out around town in relation to the confirmed AIRS sites", which is great news. The locations of the neighborhood AIRS sites hasn't even been announced to the AIRS artists yet, and it's critical info for those hoping to land an alt space with a chance at capitalizing on some of that "official" traffic.

Only two of the AIRS sites seem to be confirmed (street addresses listed at Artspace). The downtown site was not one of them. AIRS artists are not grouped/placed by their own place of residence; they are grouped together thematically and will be placed in the space that seems most fitting (i.e. floor space for sculpture, etc.). So downtown-based AIRS artists might actually be showing at the West Haven AIRS site, etc. No notification has gone out to artists on where or with whom they'll be showing.
There were additional alternative spaces available at Artspace tonight, for artists who are still looking for temporary show space.
